My guess is about 155-160 in, and agree he is a 3.5 yo deer.  If you can forego taking him this year, given what you said about his growth, he likely will qualify for B & C next year at 4.5.  When you hunt, take a video camera with you and get him on tape... shoot a doe this year... wait until next year to kill this one.

Intreasting post, but it makes a few assumptions. One, that our lucky hunter gives a hoot about B&C recognition. And two, that this deer will not venture into the sights of another hunter.
 
I think CA did a great job of expressing the "danger" of holding out for 4.5s in his recent D&DH article. To each his own.
 
I cannot say what knotter2525 should do, but I hunt 3.5s and am quite happy with that. ILBowhunter, you either have control over a very large hunting area or are extreemly patient. Either way, I envy you.

Very nice deer. 3.5 year old does are not too uncommon where i hunt in OK, but a 3.5 buck is a different story completely. Seems that the ones that live that long get "smart".(invisible)[;)] I cant really tell you how to hunt, but it would be awsome if he was around next year. I dont think i could pass on him though so, to each his own. Good Luck.

G-1s are incredible, but his G-2s are about 8 1/2-9 inches and G-3s are 7-8 inches, inside spread is just a little wider than ears making it about 17-17 1/2 inches. his main beams are going to be 19-20 inches. This is a 3.5 year old buck with a ton of potential. 145 inches gross...IMO. Also... man let him go this year and next year he'll be 155-165. Remember... when that velvet comes off... he's gonna look a little smaller.

Nice buck, I estimate him out at about 159.  Regardless of age, he is a great buck.  Around my hunting area, he probably won't make 4.5 due to poachers.  If I could get a great shot, I would take him.  If not, maybe he will be around next year.
