Just like the masses, I vote movement by far.  A few years back I had a matriarch doe and two fawns 20 yards out.  I extended my index finger and mama busted me.  I am pretty sure I could have been sitting in the tree with purple polka dots and she wouldn't noticed but I didn't stand a chance after she saw me move.
Have had other times where they have noticed the steam from my breath and reacted to it.
Good shooting.

Glad to talk to all of you, but I'd rather be sitting in a tree stand on a cool morning trying not to move so that the bruiser buck directly below me doesn't figure out that I am watching him!

movement is your worst enemy. but, a good camo that breaks up your outline, with a background that does the same will allow to you to...    sometimes....get away with those often needed,  slow, deliberate movements.

Well just for the record, for me this question is a no-brainer....MOVEMENT, so that makes it unanimous.
And do you all realize, that this is the first thread that we've had where we all AGREE??
