U.P. deer population

Went to the U.P. this past week to snowmobile. havent been there in 5 or 6 years. In years past, It was nothing to drive down
the highway and see a deer carcuss on the side of the road every couple hundred yards, They would be everywhere. This
year we drove a few hundred miles in the U.P. and didnt see one carcuss on the road. Not that it bothers me to not see this,
But what the heck. We didnt see many live deer neighter.
Have the wolves done this much damage?? I know with the economey, There are not as many people hunting up there.
Locals up there say since the deer numbers have dropped, So has the amount of hunters. Its sad, But the economey up
there is in a ditch.

The last time you went up there was it during the same time of year? I know I dont see as many dead deer on the road when the rut is not in swing. I havent really noticed a drop in numbers where I hunt...
