Welcome to the forums! Nice to meet you, Patriot. The body on that deer is huge, nice buck!  Great job!

I hunt in SW Minnesota.  This was my first ever Opening Day bow harvest in 9 seasons.

Our Bow Season started monday Sept 15.,I went out mon, tues and wed. evening and didn't see any Deer at all in the woods behind my stand or out in the open fields by the food plots,I did have 1 Deer blow at me from down in the woods as I exited my ladder stand and was walking away when it must have heard me?We have had a full moon the past few days so I'm thinking they are feeding at night mostly? Its still early with all the leaves on the tree and it is hard to see anything moving through the heavy woods, soon the acorns will be dropping and the deer will be scouring the forest floor for food and moving about more.

Ohio opens on the 27th, almost got everything ready.  I need to wash my accessories, and fletch my hunting arrows.

Instead of hitting the beanfields early which is my normal routine for the first week or two, I'm going to hit the acorns, the 70 mph winds we had the other day have blown down thousands of them where I hunt, it's like walking on marbles.
