Yea, I noticed that about the room color, even showed yours to my wife. The color really makes the deer mounts stand out. Ours wives must have similar color tastes.

Looks good!
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

Not a deer but one of my favorites. No matter where you are in my office, this cat is looking at you.

My 2011 buck is drying at Scoval Taxidermy but they were kind enough to send me a sneak peek at him.

JPH how old is that buck, did you age him? Looks like the grandfather of all bucks! Gray and old!

I know! He looked old to me too. You should check out the photos of him on the hoof in the 2011 hunt photos thread. He was blind in one eye, scarred on his face and ears, and over 220 lbs. field dressed.

But get this, his jawbone showed 3.5 years of wear! I've had a couple of people look at it for second opinions and we all come up with the same estimation.

I bet he is older, jawbone aging is notorious for under-aging deer. I mean he could be 3.5 but he is a studdddd of a 3.5 if he is.

He is a stud no matter what though, I couldn't believe his body when you first posted the pic.

I like the position of his ears too...

It's not the years, it's the mileage. Nice buck JPH.
