Not quite a shed

Went out looking for some sheds, and as happens every year I don't find any sheds, I find a dead buck. 3rd year in a row. However, this deer is much bigger than any of the ones I found in the past. The deer lie in an area not known for hunters, so I'm not so sure he was killed by a weapon. Anyway, I was excited to find such a deer.

After lobbing his head off, I took it home and boiled it. Well, this deer has apparently been dead for some time...oh, how that smell was delicious!!! NOT!

When I was done, I measured him to be 144 3/8 gross.
The g3 were 10 1/2” long.
The two sides were almost identical in total size.
There was only a 7/8” deduction

That's a good find, I been out a few times now..no such luck here matter of fact so far no dead deer! That's a plus in the woods I hunt, we never got the snow as odd as that sounds..but hey I'm not gonna complain!
