Ohio Bucks

Postby jkuhn22 » Sat Sep 27, 2008 10:49 am

I am the only hunter on this 100 acre property but the surrounding farms shoot anything that walks by. Which one should I shoot or should I pass them up for next year?

Both are nice bucks but I think the buck in the back is a 2.5 yr old but the one up front looks older at least 3.5 with a 20 + inch inside spread I wouldnt be able to pass on him. So if you get a chance to lace that buck do it so we can all get a better pic of him besides that he would look great on the wall...

Good luck let us know how you do..

I'd shoot the front one for sure. Need to see the other one in person to decide. Good luck!

The back buck, looks to be one that I would definately pass up.... The wide buck in the front, appears to be 4 1/2 years old, and is still an 8 pt...  He is a beautiful buck, and I do believe that I would take him... Good management buck...

I would judge the buck on the left to be a good looking 2.5. The I wish I had 100 acres to myself and we have some of the same neighbors. But, personaly I would still let him go. But I would not even think of trying to convince you to do the same. That is just me.

As for the buck on the right. He appears to be 3.5 or older and that is enough for me. Thwack!
