IL.-Where's everyone from?

Your going to love it.  I became addicted years ago, it's a totaly different hunting experirence.  I've never been to IL for the Shotgun season, but if any of you guys ever travel to WI to experience gun season but the pressure is insane.  Yes deer are running around but they are scared out of their minds.

I grew up in Minnesota but ended up in NW Florida through the military.  Now I hunt in Alabama, to the West of Georgiana, AL.  The deer down here aren't near the size you find further north but they still put excellent meat on the table!

live near Chicago but hunt Fulton Co. just west of Havana...
 
... typically VERY slow to start the season, and then around Halloween, all the deer show up again.
 
happens EVERY year.
 
Have yet to sit... but a few of my relatives have been... and guess what... slow!

NW Indiana. Carroll County just outside Lafayette. Definite farm country

I live in rural western Kane County in NE Illinois. I hunt ground with the bow in Ogle County west of Oregon, Illinois, and we also have a few farms that we hunt with both gun and bow in Brown County near the Illinois River. I've been hunting down there for 30 years now, and have a lot of friends in that area.
