Postby Goose » Tue Sep 30, 2008 12:20 pm

Only 3 out of 10 hunters get a deer with the bow in Wisconsin! That surprises me i expected a little higher success what do you think?

Yea, that is a little low I think but I believe it.  There are plenty of people that I know that don't get a deer every year.  Not because they don't see deer, but because they are choosy with what they shoot.  Also, lots of people have less time to hunt even though there is a long season...Like me I can only hunt weekends.  That may or may not be the reason but it sounds good to me! :D

I think it has to be higher now with the E-A-B system because most bow hunter now take two does so they earn their buck for both archery and bow.

you can calculate the sucess rate..how many tags sold( multiply licences sold times three) and how many deer killed...use total tags not licences even if one hunter killed three deer there will be others who have three tags( or could get three tags) that killed zero deer
