Primos Buck Roar

Postby Squirrelhawker » Tue Sep 30, 2008 4:07 am

I would be interested in any personal experiences with this call. A friend of mine got a dramatic response out of a buck. I never had any luck, then mine quit working right.

Any luck out there?

I have no personal experience with this call, but I`m extremely interested in the responses. I`ve heard really good things about this call.

the buck roar is in my opinion the best grunt call to hit the market you can do it all with this call from soft tending grunts to the loud roar and grunts on the windy days when the deer cant hear you.. So it works on all age type bucks no need to spook the younger bucks off the plots or even a 3.5 yr old. but if you need to challenge the dominant buck in the area you can..

Best grunt call i have ever used. Well worth the money.

A little story about mine,

This year i went out to change some stands around and at the base of one of my stands i found my buck roar laying in the weeds. Evidentally i had dropped it, or it fell out of my pack last fall, but whatever the case i picked it out of the weeds after laying there all winter and gave it a blow and it worked just as it should have. I think that says something about a call that can lay under the snow for months and then take the heat of the summer and all the elements and still perform how it should.

That's interesting. I don't recall them saying all that on the DVD but it was awhile ago.

I had great luck with the Buck Roar last season, the buck I killed had walked past me and was headed the oppisite direction when I did a roar followed by a snort wheeze,  he stopped and looked for awhile before coming back about 30 yds and giving me a great quarting away shot.  I also called in a 140 + incher for my dad 3 times using the buck roar.  He got within 10 yds but never gave dad a shot he was comfortable with.
