Wanna see a nice one?

Postby Everyday Hunter » Wed Apr 18, 2012 7:45 am

I was recently involved in a TV interview on WSEE-TV in Erie, PA, along with two other guys. They guy beside me killed a 200-class non-typical (Net 199 7/8) about an hour south of me. WSEE - TV has a Sunday morning program called "SportsBlitz" in which they cover lots of area sports including hunting. If there's a way to embed a video here, I don't know how to do it, so here's the link: TV Interview. There's some Penn State football stuff at the beginning. Our interview starts at 1:25.)

Thought you all would like to see this. It broadcast April 1 (but it's no April Fool's joke!)

Spectacular buck. 199 7/8...too bad they couldn't squeeze another 1/8th out of that rack. Great rack.

Yeah. Others said the same thing to the hunter, but I said to him, "Would you be disappointed if you won only $199,875 in the lottery, and not a full $200,000?"

We take what the good Lord gives us. And he was very generous to Dave!

Nice!!!!!

Whats even nicer is they showed it on the news!! A full interview.

Around these parts it MIGHT get some sort of 8 second mention on the local news at 3 a.m. if it were a 250 typical albino shot by a 14 year old girl who was hunting for the first time after suffering from complete paralysis for 13 1/2 years of her life. Something like that
"Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther."

I'd be happy as a clam with a 199 7/8, but it's just soooo close to 200. On Cleveland TV news there would be no mention of the event either. The newspaper would have in the friday Outdoor news section, however.

That's a good one. A nice log on the fire for my trip to PA this fall!
