2012 PA Season

Just thought I'd start this up now. Can't wait til season. Haven't done too much scouting yet. Got out over winter some, been kind of dormant since. I do have three cams out. Have been getting some smaller bucks and lots of does. Exciting to see the antler growth. No studs yet. Hoping to get out this week and do some leg work and get a couple more cams out. I feel so far behind compared to other years. Anyone else been out much or seeing anything good??

Checked my cameras yesterday, have two good bucks so far. Looking to be a nice 8 and a wide 9. Lots of does and fawns and some decent younger bucks too. Still nothing to jump over the moon about. Trying some new spots for july, hopefully I get something good.

two 9 points and a 10 point so far on the one piece of property I hunt. Nothing too specatular on the others. Just went down to maryland to scout, looks pretty promising, taking a camera down this weekend. I'll be headed down there to hunt over my 7 day break over the weekend of sept 15. pretty excited for it, good warm up for pa opener

So far only one pretty nice 8-point. Probably at least 6 - 8 inch tines on it. Other than that mostly sixes and smaller. Completely stoked though for archery to start!

And yes...ticks have been HORRIBLE this year.

Good start to the season on Saturday. Decent buck at 45 yards just after shooting light. Hunted all day, saw ten deer. Hunting in the ANF, you cant ask for much more.
