Shooter??

Postby blchandler1981@yahoo.com » Wed Jul 04, 2012 6:15 am

Typical 8, split G2's on both sides. I'm curious what he will score even though he has a month and half to grow a few inches? (Central Kansas)

I would definitely shoot him. No doubt.

I don't know about score, but he is clearly a shooter in my book! Good luck with that.
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

He is pretty and a shooter. My guess would be somewhere in the 130's. He looks like he has good mass, but all that velvet is deceiving.

Both are nice looking Bucks, looking to be around 3 1/2 in age to me,as Charlie 01 mentioned some where in the 130 range even tho they will grow more mass it will drop down in size once the velvet comes off and they start drying out.For such Young Bucks that are worthy of shooting or letting grow another year, the choice is up to You! ;)

We did an article once by Charlie that said take the top 10% of your bucks and shoot any one of them. I really didn't think much of it at the time but I would say he was right on the money. If this deer is there I would shoot him, if not let him go for another year. To me he looks like he is a 3.5 year old which in many areas across the contry means shooter. Best of luck!
