Hey Deebz, looks like your buck was trying to have a double white neck patch, or was it a scar. Some times wounds end up haveing white hair. The buck in my avatar pic had a full double neck patch. Those are rare, and I should have kept it but I stupidly sold the cape.

It definitely has a trace of a double throat patch. The deer had really excellent coloration with the red on his head and a ton of white throughout the cape. The backs of his ears also have a ton of white. I shot him in a area where there's been a couple of bucks with the full double patch shot in the last couple of years. There's some better pics of the neat colors in the show off your kills thread in this section.

I need to finish up my European mounts of my wife's and my archery kills this year and get them on the wall too. They're looking really good; I just need to whiten them up and glue the nose bones back on. They'll look awesome surrounding the shoulder mount on the wall...

Here is a pic of a shed I found off this years target comparing it to the mount:

Everytime I think of this buck I regret not mounting him... Big time. Not only is he a dandy for south FL, especially on Public land, but full double neck patch...

Swamplife, I know what you mean. I also shot a double patch this past year, and I was hesitant about mounting it, but the double patch made me go thru with it. I don't normally get my deer mounted, so i was actually regretting it.....I know i'll be all smiles when I get it back though! (soon I hope!!!!)

By the way, NICE BUCK!

Here are my some Virginia mounts. The one on the left is a buck that I shot the first day of blackpowder 2011.

I FINALLY finished up my european mounts of the buck I shot last year and my wife's first ever deer (button buck).

I couldn't get them to bleach as nicely as I wanted, so I broke down and bought a can of ivory colored spray paint with a primer in it. They look really great. They show up a lot whiter in the flash from the camera than they do in natural light....

Nice Mount Deebz..looks like a good job to me!

I started one last year, got it to the point where the "meat" was off and then called it a day. Life kind of caught up to me and i didn't find the time. U inspired me to finish it.

Now that i think of it, I hope my Taxidermist calls me soon....he's had my shoulder mount for almost a year!!
