I think this is one of the most inaccurate methods of counting deer. Where I used to live, I used to see the same 20 some deer roaming almost every day. Am I supposed to assume every time I see them they are different deer and tell the DNR how many deer I see every time?

I'm pretty sure there is some statistical equation involved that accounts for repeated counting of the same deer.

That being said, I'm seeing a lot more deer while driving in the early morning to work this year than last year. That's in the SE Wisconsin and NE Illinois area, so doesn't affect my hunting any, but reports are much the same in the area that I do hunt.
