ROADKILL....WHAT A SHAME

Postby joker1656 » Fri Oct 24, 2008 4:03 pm

While my son and I were in the bow shop today, a guy brought this rack in.  He had recovered it as roadkill on a local highway.  What a shame!  This bruiser had to be 5.5 plus yoa.  Beautiful mass.  He was impressive, I bet.

Anyway, before we left they had a gross of around 185.  They told me that they measured the bases at over 7 inches.  What an awesome deer.

Although, it isn't a trophy taken hunting, I figured you all would enjoy seeing it.

Good luck!

What an amazing deer! Such a shame that's the way he had to go.

He was killed in N/E Indiana.  Actually very close to the Indiana/Ohio border.  SR's 37/101.  As a reference, Fort Wayne is the biggest town near there.  I agree, the mass was extremely impressive.  Some major headgear there.
