Upstate NY here. Own a 2005 Yamaha Kodial 450 camo with gun, bow, and climber racks on it. Plus the winch for pulling them critters up over a bank or off the neighbors land. Plus heated handgrips for those colder days. Top speed driven is usually 5-6 mph across the fields, then park it an 1/8 mile away from the stands.
Personally, I don't think it bothers them at all when parked. 4 years ago I used a garden tractor to ride out to the stand. On T giving morning I parked it and around 8:30am 2 does and a buck wandered right by the tractor. He was chasing the does. So I had to stop his harrassing the does. I shot at him 35 yards away and he ran under my treestand and expired. Big ol 9 point. Tall rack. There was no mistaking he had antlers. Now he's hanging on the wall.
There's nothing like being in the outdoors. Work is boring!
