I just read Goodbye to Romance on the D&DH website and I liked it. There is one thing that hit me though. The non-hunting community does not usually understand hunters. I agree 100% with the writer (Brian Lovett i believe) that when we go hunting, the thrill and not the fact that we are managing, is the reason behind the kill. The feelings that go with deer hunting are the greatest in the world. That is why I am sitting here reading about deer hunting between classes. BTW I am studying to become a wildlife manager. The managers that are hunters understand the mysticism, as do the hunters. As long as you have that should it matter what the non hunters think. Lets change their minds, show them the emotional side of hunting. And helping manage the animals we love is just an added bonus.
