Bad windy here this morning, 45 mph gusts. Went out for a little spot and stalk. Tried to get up on a 130's but 41-yards was as close as I could get and no way I would take that shot in this wind. But when this one posed at 20-yards, I took the shot and it was dead on. Number 5 for the year only went 20-yards before piling up. Time to go buck hunting.

You're turning into a one man wolf pack! Good thing that you're old. If you were younger there wouldn't be ANY deer left where you live!!!

Aint that the truth. It is just one of those years and of course, I am not yet targeting mature bucks. I'm more impressed withmy shooting. I haven't made a bad shot.....yet.

It helps being able to just walk out the door and hunt when I want to. It takes me longer to get dressed and find all my stuff than it does to walk to the first stand. We have another cold front scheduled for Wed. so, I am waiting for that before I go again. I may even work a little. I have a magazine article done and ready to go but I need a couple pictures. I guess I'll have to change my shooting equipment.

Number five for the year?

How many are you allowed to get where you live?

I can get 4 in my "zone", and two more if I go to another zone, but that's it.

The limit where I live is three does a day from the last Saturday in Sept. through Jan. 1 and three bucks total during that time period.

Wow do you mind me asking where you live. What State? You can shoot close to 300 deer!

Nice shooting Bowriter....were allowed 1 Buck before Rifle Season (Nov.10-20) and I believe 1-Buck after Rifle/Gun Season and as many Doe Tags as we want to buy and we get 2 Tutkey tags with it also. Then in Rifle Season in our County we can buy an Any-Deer Permit (Buck or Extra Doe) and and Anter-less Deer Permit (Doe or Button Buck)!
