Deer Activity

Postby PrairieShadow » Thu Nov 06, 2008 2:52 pm

I went out today and the temp was 29F with a windchill of 15F (30mph winds) and a blizzard warning until tomorrow at noon.

The deer were moving like crazy tonight. I havent saw deer activity like that all year long even though my visibility was less than 100yds sometimes cause of the snow.

So the moral of the story is to get out and hunt even when the weather says to stay inside!!!

We're on the other side of that storm here.  It was almost 70 degrees here.  I only saw two does, and that was early in the morning.

Nothing like colder temps to get deer moving.

Send some of that snow down to northern Missouri next week.

West-central WI...Seeing a lot of rubs and scrapes but minimal actual rut deer activity besides that.  They seem to be going about their regular business.
