Nocturnal Ghosts

What is the baseline best advice for a nocturnal giant?

I hunted the Oct no-moon, and he was a no-show.

Keep hunting, but dont over hunt a stand. Hunt one in a thicket, change it up day to day. It's about all ya can do. Dont give up.

Patience.

All of my pics. have temp and baro on them. This will help tell you when deer are the most active.

If you know the bucks to and from habits just hunt the wind. If its a bad wind find a downwind spot elsewhere to flop to. I keep 2 stand locations in my spot. 1 for east wind, 1 for west. that way you can hunt the spot hard with less impact.

I am currently hunting one of those, and have seen him 3 times out of bow range in daylight, but he turned nocturnal when my neighbor decided he was going to shoot the neighborhood to hell during the preseason, and now this buck has only been visible during the night on camera...its hard enough hunting around neighbors that dont manage their deer and shoot ones you pass, but also when they make a good buck a nocturnal one-hurts the one hunting it and just poses more of a challenge

They dont get that big by being fools.  I'd be sitting out now, while they're rutting, maybe he'll slip up.
