Any Ghillie Suit Users?

Does anyone have any experience using a ghillie suit while deer hunting? To be honest, I hunt a good area, but Im tired of being tied to a tree, so Im working on trying to still hunt. I just ordered materials to make my own ghillie suit, but my worry is that when I wash is the dye on the burlap will bleed and Ill have a balckish mess. I know not to machine wash them or dry them.

Thanks, and any more still hunting tips would be much appreciated, it looks like a blast and a real challenge!

I evolved out of the trees about 8 or 9 years ago. And it changed my hunting life. I now "git in amongst 'em" and now every season feels like my first! BEWARE.................IT'S HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!!!

Beginner mistakes? I know I will do them if you tell me anyway but just more tips and tricks in my bag would never hurt!

I should have searched the forum before I posted, but I'm quite excited to give this a shot. I will check out that thread.
