Michigan Buck Pole

Postby WiredToHunt » Mon Oct 27, 2008 3:19 pm

Well being an optimist I'm hoping some of us here in the "Michigan" forum can start putting some deer on the ground. That being said we will obviously want to show off our trophies and in turn admire our fellow Michigander's success stories. So if you have any photos of your kills this year, start posting them here and don't forget to share your story!

Well fellas, mission accomplished!!! I got a nice 7 pointer last night at 5:05. Dropped him where he stood with my .308 Winchester Semi-auto. Here are some pics, more details to come later.

Have hunted every day all day since the opener , in at 6:00a.m. out at dark:30.  Been rough I have seen 6 different bucks but none legal for the 4 or better tag.  Took a large doe tues evening just before dark.  Tipped the scale at 165lbs.  Biggest doe I have seen in a long time.  Used my Rossi muzzleloader had a shot at 178yrds. in the neck and dropped her in her tracks.  Now that all I have is the 4 or better tag I think I will start stalking the cornfields.  Took my 10pt. in there last year on a snow coverd sunshine day.

Congrats wired, dingwell and son:

So good to see some bucks taken by fellow michiganders.  Can only hope to add to it with a picture of my own the few days that are left of the season for rifle up here!
