thanks, The deer has a split g1 and three 1 inch to 1 1/2 stickers coming off the base of horns.

Thanks everyone. I was beatin' myself up pretty bad for a few days after wounding that buck. I ended up losing the entire ham on that side but I don't care about that. I just care that he's not suffering. I'd much rather miss clean than to gimp one up. By the way...... Ms Badger, what is on top of that stick to the drivers side of your buck? It looks like a dolls head. And the stick has a string going to the tree. That's not a fence...is that a support for the pine tree?

That orange cap looks like a rebar cover (safety cover for steel rod on jobsites) and it is on a support for the tree to grow straight.

Opening day in Iowa. This doe came by way of spot and stalk. There were lots of deer on their feet and plenty more opportunities but it was too warm for me to deal with more than one deer.

Way to go nice healthy looking doe there. I have to admit I had a hard time keeping my focus on the deer that view behind you is incredible! I can`t wait to get the nephew out next weekend I have to go pick up a bigger freezer today just in case he shoots something to hang on the wall. good luck today if your not tagged out.

I know! It's a farm that a friend let me on at the last minute when I lost my primary spot. The green field in the background, bottom was absolutely covered in does last night. Our freezer is full but I found someone to take another doe if they come back this evening. Thanks for the well wishes and make sure you share the photos of your hunt next weekend.
