Early Christmas present

Postby charlie 01 » Sat Dec 22, 2012 1:05 am

Dec. 20, 2012, I found my first pair of shed antlers. A large pair that were about 12 feet apart. Shot my buck on Nov. 20, and have been doing a lot of walking. The pic does not do them justice. The right is the largest and scores 79 3/8, with both main beams of 27 plus inches. The right G-2 is 14 3/8, the left is 13 2/8. It made my day.

Nice to walk upon. Was it in an area that you hunt?

I wish, but no it's not. The owners don't allow hunting but let me walk it with the assurance that if I find evidence of anyone hunting that I would let them know.

Too bad. Anyway, like you said, it was a nice early Christmas present.
