We deal with poachers as we must. At no time, does it fall to hunters to catch them. That is what game wardens, LEOs , and game cameras are for. A hunter has no more rights or authority as a citizen, than does the poacher, when it comes to matters of detainment. It would be no more binding than a Citizen's Arrest, and could be seen as unlawful. You want someone to smoke 'em out for you? Get a dog.
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.
