#5 in the freezer ...

well i just had my best year ever and put the 5th one down .... small doe .. the guys saying i shot a dog ... but who cares more meat for the freezer ... and my MRS is telling me i am too greedy ... i do not think so ...


but now i have to put hunting to rest till spring turkey ... i am not happy about it but what can i do ... regulated seasons and all ...

i am very happy about this season to have put 5 deer in the freezer ... and got 2 deer donated and processed (road kill) to my local food pantry ...

this has been my best year in over 20 years ,,,

Congratulations. I'm happy anytime someone achieves a successful season's outcome. I only managed to kill 4 myself, which is about 1/2 of my normal season. For some reason we just didn't have the deer this year. My boy did manage to kill one here at home and one on our trip to Florida, and our host killed one that he gave us to bring back. I always provide my aunt with at least one deer per year since she let's me hunt her property which adjoins mine, so I ended up with 6 in my freezer and 1 in hers. Good luck when turkey season rolls around. I have only been able to locate one lonely hen, something has gotten the rest of my resident flock.

i would have liked to gotten out for another and tag out for the season but i work in carwashes ... and when the snow and salt flies .... i have t be to work .... not out playing

even just one ... count it as a blessing hard/easy hunt ... it is stil a hunt .. backstraps ... roasts ... chili and jerky ... it is all good even the lasaugna ...


like i said i hope everyone had a good season .... and i pray they have a better one next year ... i just pray i can match this year
