winding down

Postby Lot to Learn 2 » Mon Jan 11, 2010 3:54 am

as we head into our last few days looks like we are getting a heatwave, go to be around 30-35 for me this week, hoping to get the bow back out at least once and looking forward to the late season gun hunt where I won't have to worry about the deer freezing solid on the way home.   How about the rest of you?

I will be out all 3 days this weekend with my muzzleloader.  I am still going to focus on corn fields even with the "heat wave".  Food sources just seem to be where it is at.

almost got to go bow hunting for a little while today but ended up with sick kids.  Was able to take a quick ride, saw around 60-70 deer in about 15 minutes, all in cut corn not yet chisel plowed.  Nothing I have permission to hunt.

I saw some feeding along I-70 around 11:30am.  Corn fields.
