Got a couple pics of a buck still carrying a fork horn on April 2, latest I've seen.

The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

though it does make sense that a smaller antler would be able to hang on longer than a larger one...

Deebz, what do you mean small antler? I was hoping to put this guy above the fireplace!

My pleasure. And I think deebz is right about that antler, leverage and mass would make it more likely to lose a larger antler first, IMHO.

Went and pulled camera chips last week,
I had 1500 plus pics........only 3 deer.
I haven't a clue if bucks are carrying still..........or if any deer survived

Here in northern Wisconsin they were dropping antlers by the 3rd week of Decemeber this year...
