first of season

Took the first deer of the season last night...dropped where I shot her...nice no trailing....warm here so she is all quartered and in the cooler...off the be made into snack sticks tomorrow...but tonight back strap in butter garlic and mushrooms....mmmmnnnn Good!

Thanks guys...Temps will be cooling off after this rain....will be back out to try for a buck...I've
been hearing fights and grunts...the young boys are chasing the doe a bit...

I knew it wouldn't be long before you stuck one. I had my first doe of the season made into smoked sausage links. I'm not kidding, that's the best venison sausage I've ever eaten.

BTW, I've posted my first three down in the SC forum, just in case you're interested.

I also noticed that you haven't been to the screwed up NAHC forums lately, so did you abandon ship over there?

Nice job, I have yet to see a deer from my stands yet. They were over harvested last year.
I am heading to norh central WI tomorrow for 3 days of tree sitting.

Ahead of me again this year, I see, Badgie. nicely done. ;)
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.
