Here in IL, our pheasant season is pretty much during late fall/winter...aka: deer season

Pheasant season is Nov 2 through Jan 6. Sunrise to sunset with a two cock bird limit. If you look on the ODNR website they release pheasants on certain public hunting areas.
Keep life simple...if you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.

Cool. I took a look. It seems they release quite a few of them in Delaware, which is nice.

I nearly forgot this thread, but a few words brought it to mind. Wanderer, Are you still interested in teaching duck hunting for a group of Ohio Boys? (and gals) When would we need to do it, and what all would we need? I have the decoys and the 14' v-hull. i could finish the blind if needed (haven;t spent any time on it lately) What else besides ammo?
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.
