pumpkins ...

Postby Homunculi » Sat Nov 09, 2013 11:18 am

driving home the other night i had taken a back road to look at the fields on the way home instead of taking the highway ..
seen a doe with a pumpkin stuck on her head in the small neighborhood before the farm fields i like to drive by and look for turkey and deer
wished i could have gotten my camera out to take a pic it was too freaking funny ...

i know deer are hard on the corn and soy fields and the home gardens and landscaping but i have not heard of them being hard on pumpkin patches before seeing the doe with her head stuck in a halloween pumpkin..

anyway i hope she did not end up as road kill .. did not see a dead deer along the road this morning so i am guessing she got out of it

That looks like a spike, not a doe.

Maybe he means antlerless (IE less than 6" = Antlerless = doe)

Funny pic/vision BTW

I'd bet the pic posted is not the doe he actually saw... just based on how he said he "wished he could have gotten his camera for a pic"

i swiped this pick off the net ... i wished i had a place to pull over to take a pic of the deer in the yard i thought it was funny to see a deer trying to get free from a pumpkin ... but when i seen this happening i was past the intersection where i could have pulled off to take a pic
