Good weekend in Florida.

Postby rthomas4 » Tue Jan 21, 2014 2:15 pm

Ended up bringing home 3 deer and 3 pigs. I killed a nice doe and a good pig, my boy killed two good pigs, and our host killed a good doe the day before we arrived, then he killed a good sow the first day and a huge doe the second day. He generously gave us his two deer to add to what we killed.

Way to go. Lots of great meat and it sounds like good action.
Keep life simple...if you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.

That should keep you in meat for a good while, Thomas, well done.
The only real difference between a good tracker and a bad tracker is observation. All the same data is present for both. The rest is understanding what you are seeing.

Friday we're heading out for a small game hunt (Squirrel, rabbit, hog etc) and fishing trip.
HOPEFULLY, our party will have the success you did!
I'll keep you posted

I'd love to have a bushel or two of Appalachacola singles. I love those big oysters when they're steamed just enough that the shell barely pops open.
