2009 CWD Cases

Through the grapevine I heard from a neighboring hunter that another one in Ogle County was positive.  It supposedly found in the same woods that produced the lone one a few years back approximately a mile south of where I hunt.  I have not been able to confirm this however.

It would be NW of Oregon; Meridian Rd & Holcomb Road area.

This is hearsay at this point as it has not been confirmed.

If it turns out to be true, it is in the same woods/area one was found a few years back.

I really hope it is not the case.  The DNR has been in recent times baiting with corn and spotlighting to reduce the herd.  While the standing corn does not help, this tactic doesn't make the situation any better, IMO.

I ate a CWD deer 2 year's ago that was shot in DEKALB county and I feel great[:D] I wish the DNR would stop shooting or contact me so I could get some of the venison[:@] The CWD is also in the soil mabe the DNR should invest in some shovel's too[8|]
