mask scent or just kill it?

i used the primos silver xp with fresh earth this year, but then i wondered if i should have gone with the stuff without the fresh earth because it seemed like the fresh earth smelled too strong. if i covered my hunting clothes with it i kind of wreaked of fresh earth. wouldn't that freak the deer out instead of keeping them unaware of your presence? like to hear some opinions from you people on this one.

None is better IMO (I stopped using my HS earth scented stuff).

I just thought to share.

I bought Arm and Hammer scentless under arm deoderant and it appeared to work well (has just plain baking soda as main oder fighting ingrdient). It was about half the cost of the "Hunting Specialty" stuff.

Applied liberly after showering with scent free HS (green) soap. Even used in hair and did not get scent busted once (or that I know of).

Will use again next year. Also storing my close in sealed conatiner with a box of Arm and Hammer soda. (Hey if it's good for ridding the fridge of odors then why not the hunting clothes).

I use the baking soda trick myself when storing my gear during the off season, in season, I cut some small limbs off of the pine tree out front and keep them in my gear bag with an earth scent dryer sheet.  I use baking soda to brush my teeth before I head out to my stand and I use apple slices as a snack and breath cover scent.
