I do like to look but have'nt had a whole lot of luck. I usually find 1 shed or 1 skull a year. My neighbors dog usually finds them before I do & takes them home. Great chew toys LOL [:D]

You'll have to wait by his house every time he goes out!Image

Anybody use their dog to find sheds?

Well went out today and walked around for about 2.5 hours. I got lucky and ended up finding 3 sheds. 1 was a single 3 pt that measures 34 inches that I found about a foot off of a main trail by a bedding area.
The other 2 were a pair that measured 40 6/8 and 41 4/8's with a 14 inch spread he would've went around 96 2/8's both of them were found in a bed in a little thicket on a little rise. One was just sticking out of the snow and the other one was pretty much covered in snow.
All 3 still had blood on them whatever that tells ya.
Found another bed with some blood in it but couldn't find any sheds around it [:(]

Yeah congrats Goose, I want to get out this weekend.  We have a spring that on our land that never freezes and since the temperatures are going to get close to -20 for lows this week im hoping they will be hitting that area hard getting water.  The area is already being hit hard with sign everywhere but we have alot of snow so unless I find one that just shed I have a feeling I won't find any until spring.

Thanks, I cannot believe the amount of beds I found around water. Whether its a frozen pond or a river there always seems to be some beds around them.
