Lost a buck yesterday

I shot a decent 6 pointer yesterday morning. About 10 minutes after I shot him a bunch of dogs came running through the woods and the buck bolted. Tracked for 6 hours and then lost the blood trail. He may have swam across the short part of the lake we hunt since the last blood drops I have are right at the waters edge. That is the second time a shot deer was run off the property by the residents dogs. Terrible! 
 
On a good note, we finally seen some action. That 10 degree drop really made an impact on the movement and scrape activity picked up after a week of very little movement.

Sorry for the loss...more than once I've had hunts messed up with dogs chasing deer....Tok care of that by going to the owners and saying I could have shot your dog on my land and you'd never find it...but I prefer to turn you in to the DEC for your dog running deer and watch you pay a 500.00 fine...Understand?...It doesn't happen as much any more...but I went to court a couple of times [;)]
