Hornady FPBs

Who is shooting these? I started shooting them this year, and they shoot really well from my Genesis over 100 gr Pyrodex. Shot deer at 80, 40 and 75 yds this year. All passthroughs, revovered easily.
 
Once I got the hang of starting them I had no trouble loading. They load easily on a second and third shot too, with no swabbing in between. I plan to shoot them with BH 209 this summer. Has anyone tried this combo?

I just found them before this season, so I guess they are relatively new. FPBs are a full bore size conical slug that weighs 350 grains. Obviously you don't use a sabot. The are copper jacketed and have a ballistic tip and a deep hollow base. The jacket is heavier than the copper coating on Powerbelts. The body of the slug is undersized a bit, and the skirt around the hollow base is a bit oversize. You basically size the bullet when you load it, and they slide down the bore pretty easily.

I picked up a pack of these this past muzzleloading season. I couldn't get the bullet done the muzzle so I went back to using Powerbelts.
