So, anybody else see how bad the refs were pulling for the Steelers in the Super Bowl!?
OK. I'll take the bait.
Are you talking about the "hold" in the end zone that resulted in 2 points for Arizona? The play where Cardinal player who bowled over the Steeler player couldn't stay on his feet, so they penalized the Steelers? The one where Roethlisberger passed his way out of trouble, only to have the play called back and a safety awarded?
Here are the facts I do know:
Whether that was the right call or not, lots of holding always goes on in the interior line, and this time the Cardinals got the call at a critical point in the game.
I'm glad the Steelers won.
If they hadn't won, I would be glad it was Kurt Warner and Ken Whisenhunt that beat them.
The Steelers are deserving, having played the toughest schedule of any team this season.
If the Steelers hadn't won, my life would be exactly the same today.
I heard some whining about the Steelers lack of kind words for the Cardinals after the game, but Roethlisberger sought out Warner immediately after the game and told Warner it was an honor to have been on the same field with him. Two great teams, two great QBs, many great players, one team had to lose. Case closed. (I hope!) [;)]
