Currently mine are John Ringo & David Weber (both military scfi) Stephen Hunter & Harold Coyle (Military Fiction) and Louis L'Amour (westerns) Sir Author Conan Doyle(mystery) Rudyard Kipling (poetry & other works)
Favorite books?
The collected works of Kipling
The Sackett series by L'Amour
The Point of Impact series by Hunter (of which I just finished the latest installment and can highly recommend "the 47th Samurai")

I like the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. I have collections of Anne Rice, Stephen King, James Patterson and John Grisham. Couple of my favorite books are Where the Red Fern Grows and Charlotte's Web. I also have all the Black Stallion books from when I was a kid.[:)]

I don't read enough, but one of my favorites are C. S. Lewis. He has authored fantasy, science fiction, and theology.
Someone mentioned Stephen King. They only book of his I've ever read was On Writing.

I enjoy reading a lot, if were talking non,outdoors type stuff i like...
Dan Brown- Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons.
Steve Berry- Venetian Betrayal, THe Third Secret, The Templar Legacy, The Alexandria Link, Charlamagne Pursuit, he might be my favorite Author.

I read that as well, it's by Jeffery Deaver, he is one of my favorites. He has a Lincoln Rhyme series that is great.(movie-Bone Collector)
His books are great and intense!
The Blue Nowhere makes ya think about computers in a different way doesn't it?

I have read all of Stephen Hunter's books....good reads!
I am currently 1/3 of the way through Patrick O'Brian's series of 20 novels of the British navy during the early 1800's with Captain Jack Aubrey. They are written in the vernacular of the time, and the nautical descriptions are fascinating.
Historical novels are my favorite, and I've read everything by Jeff Shaara, from his father Michael's GETTYSBURG, right through his last book (which is the second part of a trilogy about WWII), THE STEEL WAVE, which takes you from Normandy up to the battle of the bulge.
I'm hoping that he does a WWII series that covers the war in the Pacific.
I'm also a fan of the late James Mitchner, especially his novels about America......Texas, Centennial, Chesapeake, and Alaska.
Alaska was the last one of his that I read, and for those of us outdoor types, I recommend it highly.
