What's the farthest you've traveled for a deer hunt?

What's the farthest you've traveled for a deer hunt? Mine would be an unimpressive two-and-a-half hours. I went all the way from east central Minnesota to northwest Wisconsin to the ol' deer lodge. What about you?

For me it would be an hour away.  Hunt on my grandparents land and that's the only land I have to hunt.

Minneapolis to Dubois, WY (1,100 miles).  My mom lives in Wyoming.  This was for a mule deer hunt.

As far as Whitetails go, my main spot (in laws farm) is 3 hours away.  I try to make it out for 2 weekends in September, 2 weekends in October, then a full week in early November.

Western Pennsylvania to Maine. Twice. I don't remember the mileage, but it was probably about 800 miles. Tag unused on both hunts.

I'd like to go the other direction, maybe the Dakotas or Montana.

Steve

P.S. Now, if we're talking about BIG deer, with palmated antlers, I guess it's about 4000 miles.

We drove from our home in Waupaca,Wisconsin to Hulett,Wyoming for a whitetail hunt. Distance was about 870 miles one way. I don't remember how long it took because we stopped at Herter's in Mitchell South Dakota and bought some more gear we didn't really need.My God, that was a long time ago if Herter's was still open. I think that was 1977. Brought two deer back after a week's hunt. Venison tasted different from our Wisconsin deer. Not bad different, just didn't taste the same

A buddy and I drove from MacDill AFB, (Tampa) FL to Hartsgrove, OH (1144 miles) to hunt deer while in the Air Force.

From North East Indiana to Princess Anne Md. Right at 800 miles. I also visit my family in the Baltimore Md area so my trips are two fold.
