You are most wise, young grasshopper. That would be a mistake that would haunt you annually for the rest of your married life!

One more tip.......

If at all possible, try to.....ahem....."arrange" it, so that any kids that you may have DO NOT have birthdays that coincide with deer season!  Makes life easier for all parties concerned....[;)]

I did the same thing, Sept 1 through Dec 31 is off limits for weddings and honeymoons.

She honored that request and we decided on july 11th of this year.

Its MUCH more important than that!

LOL! Reading this, I just had the observation that, "Now THIS, is a DEER GEEK....someone who'd plan their life to this extent around deer season!"

I know....I did the same thing, not knowing that 20 years later Illinois would have a handgun deer season in January that coincides EVERY YEAR with our anniversary!

My deer camp buddies and I have all agreed that we will do our level best to make sure that none of us dies during gun season, and if we did, the deceased would completely understand why we weren't there for the funeral! [:D]

Been married 28 years as of this year, June 6th.

Which worked out well with me being a history buff - June 6th is D-Day and I've never forgotten our anniversary.

I've been 'married' for about 5.5 years now.  Still need to put that ring on the finger and make it official yet though...That's going to happen this year!
