Sweet! You gotta love it when they put on the show! Hope you picked some 'shrooms as a side dish for your turkey breast.

The show was great, but it sure makes it hard to keep your cool.  When he breaks strut and gobbles in your face at less than 15 yds.  I actually jumped and he seen me, so I had to end the show.  As for the shrooms I didn't find any this morning. But I still have a mess from when I was down there scouting this past weekend.  I was hoping to find some after I shot him so I could try to get them in the picture, but know such luck.

Our season opened yesterday where I'm at. I planned on being out there but procrastination on all my term papers, and business plan ended that hope [:(] oh well, we still have a few weeks, i'll be out there one of these days! Congrats on the birds! I can't wait to get out there, this will be my first year hunting turkeys! The weather has been crappy too, rain rain rain.

Heres the bird I shot yesturday. My first bird with a bow, it has only taken me 3 years. I didnt weigh him but he had a 10 1/4" beard. I missed a monster on Monday morning, nerves got to me.

I had to shoot him twice. My first arrow stayed in him. When I picked him up he started flopping and sent my broadhead into my inner knee. Bled like heck.
I got scope eye this fall when I shot my buck. What else is going to happen to me when I go hunting next time?
