attended a funeral last week in the u.p. and a guy from down state that hunts up there said the dnr has banned all baiting for deer in the u.p.! just wondering if that's true?

That`s news to me. Unless they just changed the rule, baiting had been only banned in the lower. That wouldn`t suprise me.

ive only heard the lower... but they have been trying to get it up there too.. just a matter of time i guess.. im starting to think it's someone that has money, and is trying to stop the baiting all together to make Michigan a deer state and try to bring in the big bucks $.

I haven't heard anything about that either, I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually happens though.

They have antler restrictions, but I hadn't heard anything about baiting. I'm sure it's coming though.
