Postby ranwin33 » Fri Aug 14, 2009 8:57 am

Has anyone read any of these books and if so would you have an opinion?

Leonard Lee Rue III's way of the whitetail

Modern whitetail hunting by Hanback, Michael

500 deer hunting tips : strategies, techniques & methods  by Vaznis, Bill.

Deer hunting    Frahm, Randy.

Thanks.

I have read Modern whitetail hunting by Mike Hanback and will say it is a good read. It is what it says it is and by that I mean more modern with newer information and tips.
I will say that I like Hanback and believe he is a good ole boy with some great insight on deer hunting and behavior.
He also co-authored Giant Whitetails with the Drury brothers, and I would recommend that one as well.
From what I know of you, you will not read these books and say that they changed the way you hunt or that you learned all kinds of stuff but they are good books with solid information that are written from some of the nations top deer authorities.
