Pricing a Mathews. Help!

JPH if it does not matter what state the quote comes from give Harvery Weddington a call at (606)796-3918 he owns Valley Archery Supply he is located in Vanceburg Ky. I live in southern Ohio and out of the 5 or 6 dealers that I called he was the cheapist he beat some of the other dealers by $90 and that was without telling any of the dealers that I had talked to other dealers.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Please keep the ideas coming. So far I have only used the "dealer locator" on the Mathews site and stayed in Iowa, but I've already been quoted as low as $690.

I'll still have to rob a bank, but whatever. It's only money, right?

What's that 390.00 for the bow,300.00 for the name Mathews. Thats a littel steap for me. Maybe you need to rob two banks?

Yeah Goose, I agree. I guess I kind of invited it with the "rob a bank" remark, but let me say that I am not looking to debate Mathews vs. any other brand. I decided to go with a Mathews years ago.

By the way, I've got one guy down to $659. He won't take my bow in trade but Scheel's will match that price and take a trade in.

That price plus trade in sounds like a pretty good deal. When I bought my dxt the dealer also gave me a 10% discount on accessories. Would Scheels do that as well?

Good point DoeEyed, my dealer did that as well.

Scheel's gave me the option of $699 and 25% off accessories or $659 and nothing off accessories. Since I plan to transfer my rest, quiver, release, arrows and stabilizer to the new bow, I decided to take the $659.
 
I gave them my card over the phone and my bow is sitting there waiting for me. They said I should expect about $100-$150 for my trade. It is not much, but it's still another "discount". I wish I could have taken my buisness to a local shop but when you are talking about that kind of price tag, price + trade in sells.
