Welcome wolf60. By the way, crossbows are not all bad. My wife tried it and loved it, shes my new hunt'n buddy. Now after two seasons under her belt shes think'n about buy'n a Mathews "PASSION". My 7 yr. old daughter tried the crossbow with a red dot and shooting stix, she loved it. My daughter will be sitting next to me during the early season with her apprentice lic. . One crossbow brought the whole family together. My 19 yr. old son and I shoot a compound--sometimes. (Hats off to Horton crossbows.)

I have nothing against crossbows. I would not hesitate to use one if it came to that. I just love deer hunting. Its great that your whole family is involved. I wish you and your family good luck and hunt safe.

Welcome wolf60. Hope you have a great season and glad you are still in the game. Mathews makes some nice bows, good luck with yours. I use a PSE Whitetail Extreme (bought at Bass Pro a few years ago) compound bow and on occasion a '10 Point' Crossbow. Both are great to hunt with.

Consider yourself lucky to live in Wisconsin. You have some giant deer there. If I could afford the tag I would love to hunt in your state. Good luck this season!
