Wolves in Lower Peninsula?

I was out scouting a couple weeks ago in Arenac County and found a couple tracks that are huge. I don't know of any large dogs in the area. So what do you think? Or is it just a big coyote?

I wouldn't doubt it. I've talk a few people who said they have seen wolfs in Grayling.

I havent herd of any wolf's but weve seen some cougars around my house and i live in mecosta county my neighbors and friends have got pics of them on there trail cameras. But it wouldnt suprize me if we did have wolf's

I would be way interested in seeing those cougar pictures if you can get them. My in-laws have a farm on Grass Lake Road which is right on the Isabella County/ Mecosta County line.

I wouldnt be shocked at all.. Ive heard about it.. As for the cougar.. I have a buddy who hunts in Traverscity he saw one while deer hunting.

not sure how big your hand is, but if its an average mitt that would put that animal print in the size range of a wolf.

The way my hand is in the first picture is 5 1/2" thumbtip to the side of my hand. 4" from the side of my hand to my index finger. These are MUCH bigger than any coyote track I've ever seen. I have a trailcam in that area and I'm gonna pull the card tomorrow. Should be interesting, I hope.

Good luck! I haven't pulled mine in a while im getting antsy! I moved it last week, still haven't gotten any deer, lots of coons tho lol! Let us know how it goes and of course pics would be great!!
