No. Ohio does not start until Sept. 27 and it runs to Feb. 7. You would think that would be plenty of time to find a nice big buck. Unfortunately I have had to eat my tag the last few years. I hate to take an average buck early in the season because then my hunt is over for the year. So I keep passing up decent bucks in hope of getting the monster.We all know how that can turn out. The good thing is, I get to spend alot more time in the woods. I guess you cant have everything.

hello! if you were looking for advice then this is the place to look! everyone here, no matter how much their opinions will differ, is very helpful! lol! some of my problems have been helped from some of the info these more experienced guys! Nice to have new members here, welcome aboard.  I've lived in Florida since I was a year old.  My family is from here but I was an Army brat and dad was stationed in California when I was born but we moved back as soon as we could. Too many liberals.  I also got my first deer in KY on my cousins farm when I was in high school. Florida has a lot of great hunting opportunities.  One of the nice things is much of the deer habitat is also home to hogs.  If the deer hunting is slow you can always switch to pigs.
