new dnr director

well looks like weve got another hand picked blago dem heading up our dnr, instead of a qualified biologist. that makes three now. i had my disagreements with brent manning but id take em back in a minute!

It would be nice if that changed since blago's out and Quinn is in.He already is talking about reopening the parks that were closed down so maybe we'll get lucky

well it seems that mr. granberg is now out as agency director. he will apparently though, recieve the litetime pension rate of the job he held for about a week[:@]

SPRINGFIELD -

Saying the state needs an experienced professional at the helm, Gov. Pat Quinn on Thursday introduced Marc Miller as the new director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

Miller, 39, is a Springfield resident who has served as senior policy adviser to Quinn since 2004. He replaces former state representative Kurt Granberg, who was fired Wednesday. Gov. Rod Blagojevich appointed Granberg Jan. 16.

The new Gov. Pat Quinn signed Senate Bill 1132, on Feb. 5th, restoring the 25 million dollars swept from six wildlife funds by the former Gov. Blagojevich's administration.
